    Leslie Swagerty

    Registered Veterinary Technician

I moved to Wichita in 2016 and went on to graduate from the Veterinary Nursing program at WSU Tech in 2019. Since then, I’ve combined my passion for animal care with a love for building a home full of personality—shared with my boyfriend and our lively crew of pets. Together, we care for three cats (Charlotte, Hiccup, and Percy), two dogs (Aspen and Ruby), a ball python, and a collection of jumping spiders.

When I’m not caring for animals, I enjoy spending time outdoors kayaking, getting lost in a good book, or expressing my creativity through painting.

  • Gabby Harlan

    Registered Veterinary Technician

Hi, I’m Gabby! I’ve been at Blair Doon since 2021, where I started as a kennel technician and later transitioned to the technician side. I graduated from Colby Community College in 2025, passed the VTNE, and became a registered veterinary nurse. I have two dogs: Atlas and Ares, and two cats: Teddy and Tillie. I recently got engaged to my now fiancée, Dara, which has been an exciting new chapter in my life. I grew up riding horses and was a working student at a local barn, where I trained and showed in dressage and did some jumping, with a strong passion for eventing. I love helping all animals and truly enjoy being able to care for yours!

    Janet Benton-Moss

    Client Care Coordinator

Hi, I’m Janet Benton-Moss. I’ve been with Blair Doon since September 2008 as receptionist. Alias “Crazy Bird Lady”. It is definitely my home away from home. I’ve raised 3 incredible sons of whom I would be lost without. I have 3 very talented grandchildren (1 girl, 2 boys). One of whom may aspire to be an avian veterinarian. In my time off I enjoy my two dogs, 3 cats, and my 13 parrots who range in size from a canary on up to a military macaw, all of whom I consider my OTHER CHILDREN. Of course I also enjoy time spent with my “human” children. My family is my greatest reward and I totally believe what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.
